My Personal Page

I was the music buff at our house, as a pre-adult, my parents and friends thought I would get a job in the music industry, mainly as a DJ, the closest I ever got was working in a record store during college.  It was a fun job, identifying songs customers would attempt to sing and knowing what album/CD it would be found on. I could get most of them right. Half-way through college I stopped listening to popular music.  I  don't know many of the top forty artists or songs of the 90' and get's worse for for the decades that follow.
These are the recordings that I listen to the most.  My music taste varies from classic to alternative rock to folk and americana and is constantly evolving, but if I had to choose ten of my favorite recordings out of my collection, these would be the ones that I select

My top ten songs to date in random order are:

  • Games Without Frontiers - Peter Gabriel
  • Brass in Pocket - Pretenders
  • Fashion - David Bowe
  • Trout - Nenah Cherry & Michael Stipe
  • Crucified - Tori Amos
  • You Get What You Give - The New Radicals
  • Cruel to Be Kind - Nick Lowe
  • Life During Wartime - Talking Heads
  • Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
  • Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve
